Restaurant of Life: This is Life Menu Set (2020)

Restaurant of Life: This is Life Menu Set (2020) is an Experience Design made for a group project by Tiffany Lee, Laura Yiu, Wing Li, Wendy Yeung and Ling Ngai.

Referring to current coronavirus situation in 2020, the aim of menu is experience different circumstances under COVID-19. It set there’s high chance in people contracting the disease, the game would symbolizes as the chances, like a role-play to current community’s situation,

So there’s chance in getting “coronavirus meal” meaning the person is the unlucky one that got contracted.

There’s chance where people would not get contracted with coronavirus, but in current quarantine situation, they need to “de-stress”.

Or, some workers need to keep working from home, so they are “exhausting”.

Or, some people have already lost their mind to all the days locked down at home, unable to go out, so they become “stupid” and “crazy”.

Try to experience lives of people under different circumstances in the outbreak of Coronavirus.

The group develop all the ideas together and prepare visual part separately.

Basic Rules

This restaurant is similar to high-class restaurants that do not allow customers to choose their meals since the chef already decided for them. It is related to the idea of contracting COVID-19 where fate or God putting the different set of ‘meal’ on ‘customers’.
